📢 The Department of Medical Education & Research (DMER), Chandigarh Administration, has released the official notification for the recruitment of 424 Nursing Officer (Group B) posts under Advt No. GMCH/HA-1/EA1/2/3/2025/3489, dated 09 April 2025. The posts are primarily for GMCH Sector-32 and the Mental Health Institute, Chandigarh.

📌 Educational Qualifications

Option A: BSc Nursing

OR

Option B: GNM

  • Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

  • Registered with State Nursing Council

  • 1-year experience in a 50-bedded hospital after GNM qualification

📌 Nationality

  • Indian citizen OR

  • Subject of Nepal/Bhutan OR

  • Tibetan refugee (before 1st Jan 1962) OR

  • PIO migrated with intent to settle permanently in India

🧪 Selection Process

Selection will be based on merit in a written exam only.

✏️ Written Test Details:

🎯 Minimum Qualifying Marks:

  • General/EWS/OBC – 50%

  • PwBD – 45%

  • SC – 40%

A merit list will be prepared for eligible candidates. Top candidates in 1:3 ratio will be called for counseling and document verification.

🔁 Tie-Breaker:

  1. Older candidate gets preference

  2. Higher marks in essential qualification if age same

  6. Preview and submit the form.

  7. Pay the applicable fee online.

  8. Print two copies of the application for future use (affix same photo as uploaded).

📌 No need to send hard copies to GMCH. Keep them for counseling.

  • Pay Level 7: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 + Dearness & Other Allowances

  • Probation Period: 2 Years (including mandatory induction training)
